Meher Javed
When Mehr first walked through our doors with her mother and aunt, it felt like a little burst of colour had entered our studio. We knew from the start that creating something here would be nothing short of joyful.
Our bride wanted her walima look to be different and was leaning toward a rebellious shade of beige at first, but the real magic happened when we introduced her to a secret we usually keep tucked away: a stone blue, borderline pastel yet full of character. The moment we placed it against her skin, we all knew, this was it.
What made this journey even more special was Mehr's blind trust. She had to leave the country before her outfit could even take shape, and yet, she placed her faith in us, and we cherish it deeply.
She gave us her dream, her trust, and her blessing to create something within the little world she envisioned.
The final garment was pure handcrafted chikan kari, in 3 rich shades of blue as an ode to her bubbly personality. And because we always weave a little old-world magic into our pieces, her outfit featured our signature hand-cut mirror work, a centuries-old symbol of protection, believed to deflect envy and ill will away from the wearer.
Mehr's journey with us reminded us why we love what we do: every bride brings a new story, a new spark, and with a little trust and a lot of heart, the results are always beautiful.
