Dusty rose and antique gold define this pre-Partition-inspired three-piece ensemble, pairing a sculpted satin-silk lehenga with a richly worked choli and an elaborate chikankari shawl. An additional flare beneath the lehenga lends volume and movement, balancing the precise cut of the bodice. Elongated paisleys bring together Lucknowi embroidery and chikankari, layered with zardozi, kamdani, mukesh, metallic threadwork and crystals. The choli carries intricate gold handwork, with an elaborately embroidered back finished with handmade tassels. Fine ghungroos bring a delicate rhythm to the ornament. The accompanying shawl is densely worked in chikankari, with richly embellished borders that frame its generous drape. Worn around the arms, it carries the paisley composition across the ensemble without concealing the choli’s construction.
